We just launched a new collaboration with Cocovan, a start-up that provides camper accommodations for those attending festivals and concerts throughout Italy, allowing us to offer a new and completely different way to sleep in Feltre on the most beautiful weekend of the year!

FROM FESTIVALS TO THE GRANFONDO: THE RENTAL CAMPER SOLUTION

What is the Cocovan service?

The start-up rents campers—with drivers, if desired—that give cyclists a comfortable and hassle-free way to get to Feltre and participate in the granfondo.

Three “collection” points have been designated: Milan, Trieste and Venice (airport).

Here, those who sign up for the service will be supplied with a camper in one of three different formulas:

  • A camper for existing groups or families
  • A camper with a driver, for groups or families, to eliminate any logistical problems
  • A package consisting of round-trip travel + accommodations + bike storage, together with other participants, including insurance

Each camper sleeps 5 or 6 (+ driver/guide, if applicable) and has bike storage, bathroom, hot shower, stove, refrigerator and dual water tanks.

We at Cocovan are delighted to be able to support an important international event like the Sportful Dolomiti Race,” said Guglielmo Rapino, co-founder of Cocovan. “Bikes and campers are a perfect fit. The two activities share similar values: the pursuit of freedom, adventure, respect for nature. By bringing them together in a single solution we create a winning combination that can make any participant’s weekend truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to leave for Feltre!”

The chronic shortage of accommodations in Feltre has forced us to seek innovative solutions, and this collaboration with Cocovan will not be the last. Cocovan is a new organization that comes from outside the sports scene, from the world of festivals and concerts. It will be an experiment for both of us. Our hope is that it will be understood and welcomed by the granfondo participants who come to Feltre from all over the world. We are also working on another project to create an additional 200 beds. We hope our efforts will enable us to bring in a greater number of riders and allow us to finally break the 5,000-participant barrier in the next two years,” explained Ivan Piol, president of Pedale Feltrino, the organizer of the granfondo.
