To Feltre from New York with a Bike New York contest

Ready to ride the legendary Dolomite climbs that are hosting the Olympics and experience the adrenaline of one of the most iconic granfondo events in Europe? This is your moment. This is more than a race: it’s a celebration of cycling culture, Italian style, and the pure joy of riding in one of the most sought-after cycling destinations in the world.

This is how the Italy Bike Tours agency is introducing the Sportful Dolomiti Race, scheduled for June 21 in Feltre, to the world.
The collaboration agreement between Pedale Feltrino and one of the world’s most active travel agencies for cyclists — already an official partner of the Giro d’Italia and the Strade Bianche in Siena — was signed in recent days.

“It’s a partnership aimed directly at increasing the number of people coming to Feltre and the Province of Belluno to ride our granfondo, in particular from the United States, South America, the Middle East, Australia, Slovenia, and Croatia, which are markets where Italy Bikes Tours is very strong,” explained Ivan Piol, president of the organizing committee of the Sportful Dolomiti Race. “Our goal is to bring at least 1,000 foreigners to Feltre in the next two years. To date we have almost 700 from all over the world, with a particularly strong showing from Germany and Northern Europe. We are confident that the new partnership will help us achieve this objective.”

Italy Bike Tours, proudly “made in Italy,” as they point out, but with ambassadors from all over the world, creates customized tours with high-level experiences also off the bike, such as visits to beautiful sights in the area and promotion of the local culture and unique food and wine. In short, a complete package.

The Sportful Dolomiti Race is also looking to neighboring France, through an agreement signed with a sports club that has a large following beyond the Alps and that will bring its own ambassadors and a group of its athletes to the Sportful Dolomiti Race, drawing in the French media.

Finally, this year the granfondo is again partnering with Bike New York, the nonprofit that organizes the Five Boro Bike New York event, which brings 45,000 people from all over the world to ride on the streets of the Big Apple in May. The organizers will be giving away two entries to the Feltre granfondo in June as part of the “Win a granfondo in Italy”contest.
