We know … we’re not Rimini, and Feltre doesn’t have a thousand hotels. But there are 1,000 alternative solutions for finding lodging in Feltre or the immediate surroundings.

The organizing committee has set up a real task force to expand the availability of accommodations beyond those in the hotels in Feltre and Valbelluna, and below we outline some of these solutions.

DON’T WORRY PACKAGE

If you don’t want to have to search and think about the best solution, we definitely recommend the “Don’t Worry”option offered by the San Martino tourist board: email them, they’ll offer you hotel or other accommodation options, you register through them, and when you arrive at the hotel, you’ll also find your race packet already in your room. For more details, see the web page HERE.

B&B and TOURIST RENTALS

In addition to hotels, the selection of B&Bs and tourist rentals, often characterized by their welcoming atmosphere and well-organized service, has expanded over the years. In the municipality of Feltre alone, there are now over 100 available, with potential to accommodate at least 500 cyclists.

Take a little time, as you would when you need to find the ideal accommodations for your family vacation, and consult this page: Dolomiti Prealpi Tourism Consortium.

OUR ALPINI FRIENDS

The organizing committee has developed a long-standing partnership with the Feltre civil protection department and the Fonzaso section of the National Alpini Association, which together provide nearly 200 beds in Feltre and Fonzaso, as well as monitored bike parking and a range of essential services with the typical Alpini spirit.

At the Feltre civil protection site, just 500 meters from the start, the Alpini offer a simple but quality service:

They offer a simple but high-quality service:

·      Restrooms

·      Showers

·      Personal lockers

·      Secure indoor parking for both cars and bicycles

·      Cyclists’ breakfast on the morning of the race, starting at 5 a.m.

The service is managed entirely by the civil protection department via a special administrative office that can be reached via email at dolomitiracepcfeltre@gmail.com. Reservations can be made while space lasts.

The Fonzaso Alpini site is located at the boarding school of the Canossian Institute in Fonzaso, a few kilometers from Feltre. It’s a less expensive option but well organized, with smiles and impeccable service included. From there, you can ride directly to Feltre for the race, as it’s an easy 7-kilometer ride that will allow you to warm up before the start. The headquarters is at Via Gino Rocca 2 in Fonzaso.

The service includes:

·      Bed

·      Breakfast

The facility offers:

·      6-bed dormitories with single beds

·      Restrooms

·      Showers

·      Secure indoor parking for both cars and bicycles (check out the beautiful indoor bike parking!)

·      Cyclists’ breakfast on the morning of the race, starting at 5 a.m. (and you know the Alpini don’t skimp on delicacies at the table!)

THE FORMER BISHOPS’ SEMINARY IN FELTRE

This year, the former bishops’ seminary is doubling its capacity, offering a total of 60 beds in the heart of Feltre.

In this case again, the costs are very reasonable (a donation is requested), but the service is impeccable and the convenience of the facility is beyond price. Information can be found at www.seminariofeltre.it. Any requests should be made by email to seminariofeltre@gmail.com. Since they are not a hotel, please be patient if they don’t respond immediately, but they do respond to everyone.

THE CLASSIC BOOKING.COM

Then there’s always the classic option of consulting the most-used accommodation search engine in the world, Booking.com, which opens up a wide range of hotel and other accommodations throughout Valbelluna and the nearby Valdobbiadene area.
